Growing old disgracefully

By GOD

SOFT WINTER LIGHT

Renfrewshire isn't big on dramatic landscape, but it more than makes up for it with its network of lanes and soft, pastoral scenery. I have watched the development of this wee lochan for some years. Once it was no more than an the corner of an occasionally flooded field, but it has since been excavated and planted around. Swans nest in the rushes at the far end. I like the soft, late winter sunshine and the distant view of the folly above Loch Winnoch.
