Setting the jewels

Here you can see some of the jewels in Edinburgh's architectural crown: Ramsay Gardens, the Castle, the Royal Scottish Academy and the Scott Monument. All the features that contributed to the city centre being designated a World Heritage Site.

All the studies of why visitors come to Scotland say that our heritage - our architecture and our history - are prime factors in attracting them.

So what do we do for these architectural jewels for the festive season? Surround them by the most unbelievable tat you could imagine
