Kindergarten <3

Alexia left this morning, sad times. However we did have a lovely homemade lemon meringue pie for breakfast with the family.

I then rushed off to meet Andrew and headed to the kindergarten for their graduation. It's in a neighbourhood called Suarez which takes about an hour to get to. It's quite a poor area and in Spanish is know as a 'vila' which pretty much means slum. It's crazy that only 1 hour from the city centre this is what you can find.

The kindergarten is very basic, needs a lot of work done, but is truely lovely. It stands out a mile away amongst all the huts because of its colourful painted walls. The leaders there are absolutely fantastic with the kids, who all seem to love it there!

Because of it being graduation day it was really busy with all the parents there. The kids were running about with their graduation hats on, it was very cute. Unfortunately we missed the nativity performance that the kids acted out, but we made it just in time for Papa Noel arriving and distributing presents.

On leaving I had to take a photo of the message displayed right beside the rubbish dump. It says 'don't throw rubbish' :S
