Hug a Duck

I was doing a spot of drawing today and so I could concentrate on head detail, I needed help holding the various fowl. Our drake is lovely. I do believe he was terrified but ducks' beaks look like they are smiling so he seemed so happy. When he wrapped his neck around daughter number two it looked like he was cuddling back. Ducks are also so warm and soft. I wouldn't fancy cuddling up to one on the couch or anything though, they are the muddiest, messiest animals I've ever seen.
It is a little dark around his head and the angle isn't quite right, so in the photo we miss his smile. Ducks really do have such sweet faces.
