Thistle Down

Winter Sunset

Far distant mountains,
In a mantle of white.
Beckons majestically,
To clouds of the night.

Glimpsing through portals,
Where fantasy shows.
The crimson and scarlet,
Of bright after-glows.

Inspiring to vision,
Is God's earth...so real.
For eyes that are open,
And a soul...tuned to feel.

E.P. 1908 - 1989

"My inward vision...has been newly filled...by a sunset far-reaching and its paint-pot all spilled." E.P.

Photo taken behind Castlerock State Park in Almo, Idaho - looking southwest.
