Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Handel's Messiah

We had the privilege this evening of attending the performance of G.F. Handel's Messiah presented by Choral Union -- a 300 member choir and orchestra from California Baptist University. Since we've already started enjoying our Christmas season, I don't think it was the entrance, but certainly a lovely decoration and now memory of this year's festivities. We enjoyed ourselves completely.

We spent the afternoon just across the Riverside/Orange County borderline in Yorba Linda at Java Joe's for a birthday party for our friend Scott who does an Open Mic Nite every Tuesday evening there at Java's Joes. The party was just one big terrific music jam with all the musicians that normally play on Tuesays. We love the music. Tacos with all the trimmings were served and lots of yummy cupcakes and one big fabulously designed birthday cake.

With church this morning and then taking the three pooches for a long walk before securing them in their crates as we headed for Orange County, this has been a "filled-to-the-brim" day and we've enjoyed all of it. Tomorrow I have 5 more student essays to grade and then a final quiz on Tuesday and my semester can be stamped "Completed"!

Good night from Southern California.
