The Cards

Now to the annual task of writing nearly 150 Christmas Cards.

The labels are printed off, stamps purchased (ouch, I didn't realise second class is now 36p), cards and envelopes organised. Several are going to Mainland Europe, USA and South Africa, I had better get started.

The stamps this year depict the verses from Matthew's gospel, Chapter 1, verses 20/21

An angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus* because he will save his people from their sins." (New International Version)

*Jesus is the Greek form of Joshua, which means The Lord saves.
