Lake full, at last

The lakes at Carr Vale reserve are finally full, after many months of low water. About 4 hours of rain last evening with further showers overnight did the trick. Today has been bright and breezy, but cold. The vegetation that had been growing on the cracked ground at the margin is now swamped, but this is just about the level that would be normal.

There is a stile over the fence into the field, with a footpath to Sutton Scarsdale Hall about a mile or a mile and a half away beyond the motorway, which is out of sight from this particular but usually within earshot and visible from parts of the reserve.

I have been given the opportunity to present an idea to an organisation which may see some productive occupation being achieved for me. Being realistic I am doubtful about its success, but if it ever did get off the ground, I could imagine it being of some interest to the "Blipfoto" community.......
