30 Years!

Ewa, a colleague of mine was celebrating her 30 years of service at the British Embassy Warsaw today. She's seen several Ambassadors hold the fort and no end of changes throughout the years, especially as Poland moved out of Communism and later into Europe. Her stories are fascinating and her dedication and enthusiasm for the job is remarkable. She brought in a carrier bag FULL of photos and other memorabilia, which we were delighted to look at.

Ewa has her back to us in this picture, wearing a yellow jacket, but is also the lady in the photograph with her husband, at one of the many Embassy shin-digs of yester-year.
