Beach, barracks and breeze.

A cold breezy day for us on the beach. Nothing much doing, no otters around, which is always a bit of a disappointment but more and more waders and ducks.

The ruin next to the white cottages are the remains of Bernera Barracks built aroun 1722, as was the village, to defend the Crown from the mad Highlanders.

No change there then.

So all in all a quiet day.
