Not Playing Any Reindeer Games.

This sad looking feller was one of several reindeer held within a temporary pen on the pedestrianised Princes Street, beset by a crowd of Christmas shoppers clicking away with cameras and iphones whilst going "aww, cute!"

With no cover in this unfamiliar environment from the biting cold and a scant scattering of hay and food on the road tarmac, is it any wonder that he doesn't look very festive?

It makes me very sad and disappointed to see this - especially as it's just along the street from Edinburgh's Ethical Christmas Fair.
