Chai country

For someone who finds these views so appealing, it's ironic that I don't really like tea. Another thing I don't like is bananas, which is an inconvenience in India, as it's one of the few fruits that can be eaten hygienically.

I'm almost glad that the rainforests here were razed to create these tea plantation views; a sacreligious statement from a conservationist. The way that the remaining trees and tea bushes sit alongside each other across the rolling landscape just wowed me around every corner. Houses nestled in the bushes up to their eaves, ladies thwacked clothes clean in mountain streams and each village had a Hindu temple covered in garlands.
