Christmas Tree Pollock's

If in doubt chuck your camera in the air! Tree lights on - room lights off, heart in mouth, self timer on and go for it.

Loads of shots of my hands, the back of the settee, blurry ceilings etc. 42 chucks later something vaguely meaningful starts to appear.

I can reccommend this technique, it changes one's relatiuonship with one's camera. For me anyway the camera is losing/has lost it's mystique as a precious icon that must be revered and tended to. It becomes a tool, a means to an end, not an end in itself and probably the least important element in the image making process.

Hope you've all had a good day.
