Between fen and mountains

Strumming man

This is 'strumming man' who is a regular fixture on Spalding high street. Talking to him today, he says he likes to be called 'Fluffy' or 'Furry man.' He has taken the place of 'Freddy' the amiable inebriate in the affections of the local townsfolk. Freddie often slept rough but was often taken in by the kind hearted for a bit of tlc. He has not been seen for some time and no one seems to know where he has gone. Strumming man is no ordinary busker. He is particularly hardy, dresses each bay in the same uniform and strums tunelessly for eight hours each day. He gets crotchety with anyone who teases him but mostly he is more than tolerated; he is regarded with considerable affection.
