Avoiding...

1. The shops
2. Getting up at 6am.
We had thought of going out with the bogmeister and friends but that would have involved a lengthy drive on potentially icy roads (a year ago we passed 2 or 3 cars that had slid off in similar conditions) and so an extra early start to allow for slow speeds. As we couldn't face a cold 6am after a busy week we had a more leisurely start and went up West Lomond. It was bitterly cold on top but the views were great and on the way down to light was emphasising the folded fields and sheep.
We then went to Vane Farm and saw 2 white-tailed sea eagles and finished the Christmas shopping.
