where paths meet

Silhouettes at dusk

The end of a cold day when the frost never really lifted. Sleety showers fell on frozen ground creating very slippery conditions in many places, especially in shady areas. The views were grand, nevertheless, enjoyed from the window of the home of friends in Bakewell.

However, there was a good turnout for the carol service in the early evening. We had been inside most of the day so heading for the service was the only chance to catch the blip for the day. The sky was a most beautiful colour.

The carol service reminded us that it makes all the difference in the world when we put Christ back into Christmas. He was very God, yet became man and entered our world in such humble circumstances. He was to be called Jesus -"Saviour" - because He was to save people from their sins. How good it it to experience the forgiveness of God, as well as to appreciate His handiwork in creation day by day.
