batty

this evening after work i took a walk through the botanical gardens, across the road from my office, to get to Woolomoolo. i never imagined i'd look up into the trees and see enormous bats just hanging out, quite literally.

they're called flying foxes. so the sign tells me. they have large furry heads and hang out in pretty big numbers in the trees. can't help but find it a little creepy, but mainly because it seems so alien. took this on my iPhone like so many of my blips at the mo, so it's pretty hard to see :(

dinner tonight with m's colleagues at an indian restaurant on woolomoolo wharf. my first time there - it's pretty nice.
