Confused Campanula

Poor confused campanula,
do you think it's May?
Don't you know it's cold December,
almost Christmas Day?
No bees around to kiss you;
your pollen won't be lost.
Beware, confused campanula,
for, soon, there will be frost.

You can see the strawlike old stems from the campanula's first flowering. This weather is so unseasonable, no wonder the plant is confused.
