Harpsichord

The Dunedin Consort are using us at the moment as a rehearsal venue.

This is the sounding board of their harpsichord. It was built by Morton Gould - Glasgow based namesake of the American composer, conductor and arranger. This Morton is - happily - still alive, and has built 50-60 harpsichords in his career.

This one has been beautifully finished by the Edinburgh artist - Sheila Barnes. She lived close by until August of this year, when she moved to Ipswich to be close to family. Wonderful instrument.
