Welcome to Jakarta

This is the view from our hotel room on our first morning in Jakarta, overlooking Jalan Sudirman (one of the main roads in the city).

We've been struck by the number of hi-rise buildings, and number of vehicles. In addition to many cars and motorbikes, there are also "Bluebird" taxis, small buses and the large TransJakarta busway (in the centre of the road).

I used the miniature effect on my camera to give it the 'tiny' look. : )
