Fresh Mince Pies, Still Warm!

And very tasty too!
Yesterday, during a foray to the grocers, I obtained a jar of mincemeat and a slab of frozen pastry.
Now, I have not a clue as to why "mincemeat" is so called since it contains absolutely zero mince or indeed any meat at all.
That said, I am rather partial to a seasonal mince pie or three and decided it was high time I made a small batch. It doesn't take long to prepare the pies and only about 15 minutes to cook so there are no excuses.
Only one caveat: they are rather "moreish" and therefore bang goes that diet!
