Childhood Revisited, 3

Back in my childhood summers meant staying with grandparents, a lot of running around barefoot, homegrown tomatoes with sugar and radio plays my granddad used to listen to right before bedtime. They were mostly something Agatha Christie style and often pretty scary for a preschooler. The old Rodina (which was a part of my mother's childhood as well) always crackled and whistled a bit when you turned it on and changing the channels was such fun.

There won't be any cartoons to go with today's blip as my grandparents didn't have a TV back then.
The radio is still in use, although now as an 'interior design element' at my parents' place.
