The Round Tower

We spent the day in Windsor today. The weather was a bit rubbish but after a wander down into Eton to see the college (what an entirely different world!) we met Rachel's parents and had lunch before heading off into Windsor castle for the rest of the afternoon. We started around the outside of the castle before going in to see Queen Mary's Dollhouse and then around the State Apartments. They were such grand, beautiful rooms. I couldn't even imagine what it would be like to be part of the royal family and have a 'home' like that...

After we got home, we lazed around the house before going to the cinema to see Hugo in 3D. It was a great film and the 3D effects were continous and extremely well incorporated into the whole film. It is definitely something to go and see in 3D but we couldn't decide who the film was actually aimed at. Adults would think it was a children's film and not go to see it but children would get bored because the storyline is quite slow (at least, that's what we ended up deciding).

We walked back at got in at midnight and headed straight for bed. I was exhausted from the past few days!
