platanós

An enduring motif for me, a leaf from the platanus, or plane tree, and the anglicized, adapted Greek word I have used for years as my company identity (platanós publications). Not only my favourite tree, but one that takes me back to the Platanos Jazz Club on the Greek island of Skopelos, where I owned a small house for many years, many years ago... many happy breakfasts were enjoyed beneath the branches of the huge platanus tree that gave the little establishment its name.
