'We are what we do.'

By Hasywell

A sad day

A sad day in the news to hear about the fisherman who lost his life in Mevagissey today. The second death of a young man in that small Cornish town in as many weeks. It particularly hit a chord with me, as the boat which sank was called Heather Anne which is, in fact, my name. Therefore felt that today's blip of the Salcombe lifeboat was appropriate, especially as the 30th anniversary of the Penlee lifeboat disaster was also this week. The RNLI risk so much to save others and life on the sea can be a very dangerous one. Something we don't often think about when buying our fish and chips.

One thing to be grateful for:

There are people out there who risk their lives to help others.
