Walking with Flowers

The Shortest Day

The Winter Solstice occurred at 5.30 am and today is the shortest day of the year. On Shetland, sunrise was at 9.08 am and sunset at 14.58, less than six hours of daylight. We managed a bit longer down here in Oxford (8.10 to 15.57) and a lovely sunny winter's day it was. From now on the days are getting longer folks, so enjoy the start of spring!
