I've been trawling e-bay for cheap Pentax or Takumar lenses to give a bit more flexibility. If you don't mind having to manually focus (which I don't) there are some real bargains to be had (at least, I think they're bargains!) This was taken with a 50mm f2 SMC Pentax-A (-A means the aperture ring has an 'automatic' setting which then allows the aperture to be set as 'normal'). Nice bokeh (cor, get him with his fancy words for 'blurry'). The smaller sensor means this should give the same field of view as an 80mm lens designed for DSLRs (or rather APS-C) which, when compared with the stock 18-55mm lens, it does seems to.

I also got an SMC Pentax-M 80-200mm f4.5 which is fully manual. It takes a bit of getting used to to do exposure, zoom and focus when I've been used to a point'n'click for the last few years. It's coming back though...

Both lenses are in great condition; clean optics and good cosmetic condition. Grand total? £45.
