Kennedys Bush Track

One of the nice things about track walking is the people you meet!

Today I was on the Kennedys Bush Track on the Port Hills in Christchurch. This lovely couple kindly allowed me to photograph them. During our brief chat I discovered that they are regular walkers on the Port Hills, and have completed other significant NZ tracks including the Milford Track. I was surprised to find out that they are in their eighties!

Often the view from this point includes the mountains, but today they were obscured by haze. However it was still very pleasant being up in the hills in the sun.
