First Christmas

Been a busy day - up very early to beat the supermarket madness and get the supplies in and now final chores being attended to. One word for the day here - WET. It hasn't stopped raining for one minute and so an indoor blip required.

This is what has always been known in our familiy as 'the little church'. It was bought by my lovely Dad for my first Christmas, so it's getting on a bit! It's looking a little the worse for wear these days, but it's growing old steadfastly. And when it's clockwork mechanism chimes out Silent Night my sister and I will shed a little tear when no-one is looking to remember those still dear to us but no longer with us.
