Food planning

We're temporarily taken over the kids' chalk board to do some planning for today's cooking. I love planning. Discussing ideas and working out how to make them concrete; sketching things; and then actually doing the work. And if it's food planning you have something tasty at the end.

At this time, everything else has to fit around the food. Maybe it's some latent Marxism coming out here with food instead of economics, so cultural activities are constrained by the underlying food infrastructure. Or maybe we should look to the original derivation of economy, oikonomos -- the steward of a household.

With that, it's time to go cooking...
