Today's the day ....................... for last minute shopping

Considering that this was the last day before Christmas there wasn't too much panic in the air.

In fact people seemed quite relaxed as they walked through the Christmas Market at one end of Princes Street in Edinburgh. There were plenty of them though - eating and drinking and buying gifts from all the European countries represented by the stalls.

With the floodlit walls of Edinburgh Castle as a backdrop, it has to be one of the most impressive places in the world to do your last minute Christmas shopping ..................
