Ramblings and Mutterings

Silent Night

I don't know about you but I'm now with my family on this Christmas Eve, sadly not everyone is so lucky so I just want to leave you with this prayer from the Reverend Pam Smith as part of today's Twitter Online Carol Service:

Visits from angels
Miraculous birth
Enormous danger and enormous hope;
Christmas is exciting
Whether we're hearing about it
For the first time or the hundred and first.

As our imagination take us
To see the baby
Born with no shelter
And put into a feeding trough to sleep

We remember God sent Jesus into the world
To be a light for people in darkness.

People who are hungry,
People who are cold,
People who are lost;
People in danger,
People in pain,
People in need;

People who have lost their way
People who have never had a way to lose.
People with nobody to love them,
People with nobody to love;

May Jesus help all of us today and every day.

Amen

For me it's a happy night but for some it's a Silent Night.
