Merry Xmas

Hope you are all having a Merry Xmas.

Mrs P is working today - people dont stop needing surgery just because its Xmas. I can't complain as it's the first time in 14 years that she's had to work.

That means tomorrow is our Xmas dinner, so after opening lots of presents and scoffing a big breakfast this morning, it was time to drop Mrs P off at work then keep the kids entertained.

Last time we didn't have dinner on the 25th was back in 2003 because both kids AND Mrs P had chickenpox and no one would come near the house. Back then the kids were feeling down so I drove them up to Glen Clova to play in the snow (there was no snow in Broughty Ferry that year). Got as far as Dykehead then the car got stuck, so we played for a while until *bits* started to freeze then came home and had some dinner and watched Christmas telly.

Decided to do that again today, only this time I wanted a lot more snow to give the 4x4 and snow tyres a good test. No such luck. With the unseasonably high temperatures we've been having recently (11 degrees C today!!!) most of it has melted :(

Pesky Princess got a camera from Santa so it made sense to head up there again and do a spot of blipping and get her used to her new camera. Opened a blip account for her which I'll moderate with her until she's older. I like her first shot. Welcome to Blip Pesky Princess.

On the way back a tree had fallen, blocking the road. So, after a quick blip and survey of the drop to the right of the road, I went for it. Really glad I took Mrs P's Landy instead of my car as it would have been a long detour otherwise.
