I find it very difficult..........

..........to work up any enthusiasm to get togged up and go for a walk. The constant battering of the wind; the lashing of the rain against the window panes; all lead me to want to settle down in front of the fire with a good book and read.

I sincerely hope there are places elsewhere in Britain where the weather is better. Frankly I preferred the snow and ice that we had last year to this. And it has gone on for days! I'm told to expect it to go on until the end of the week.

I enjoy Christmas but I hate this kind of winter.
