where paths meet

Low Bradfield

A village northwest of Sheffield, deeply set in a valley at the edge of the Peak District. A good place for a short Boxing Day walk with Dad. We had a quick look at High Bradfield first, and then walked around Agden Reservoir.

There were a few glimmers of sunshine, but it was basically dull, breezy and dry. We were reasonably early, and by the time we were half way round the area was becoming well populated with like minded visitors getting some fresh air. We saw two birds of prey with their handlers - one of them seemed reluctant to return.
