Pencarrow Track

Another fantastic day in Wellington although a little more wind, this city is known as "windy Wellington".

We headed off to the other side of the harbour this morning, to Eastbourn and Pencarrow Track.
I was so taken with the quite outstanding Pohutukawai Trees blossoming as we drove around the beaches....if you haven't seen this beautiful red flower take a look at MPP26 & hpx.

We went for a walk wander along the track toward to Pencarrow Lighthouse, the grandies got tired so their Mum & Dad went back to the car and we strided it out a bit more.

The blip today is of a dead head of a thistle, used the 50mm.....the blue in the middle is the ocean, the darker is the hills of Wellington, then above that is the clouds and the blue sky. Its much better in large I think.

Now we are watching cricket and about to play Junior Monopoly...might be a bit taxing.....G & T in the making very soon I think :)

I do so love being on holiday
