Homer

After a splendid Boxing Day bash at my nephew's, it was a late rise this morning before son #2 and girlfriend took us out for Lunch to Stravaigin II in Glasgow's West End.

I think it must be one of those special moments for a parent when a son or daughter takes them out for a meal for the first time. Son #1 did likewise in Bicester a couple of months ago, so for me and Mrs B this is a really nice milestone in life.

And as for the Homer Simpson slippers blip? Well for at least the last 12 years son #2 has always been given a new pair of Homer slippers at Christmas. He may now be 28, but still loves his big warm Homer slippers and wasn't disappointed this year. He is seen here modelling them!

The journey back down to Carradale this evening was a quiet affair as we reflected on a wonderful Christmas with our family.
