On an adventure!

Finally we managed to take ourselves off for a days outing! yesterday was for me, a day of rest, well actually just an afternoon, cos we had 2 cabins to prepare for incoming guests, and one was in a particularly messy state! but i had to remind myself that i wasn't always able to see the cheerios and mess all around me when my twins were a year old...and this family had 5 kids....including the 1 year old twins. I don't know how folks handle such a state! anyhooo, i spent most of yesterday afternoon either napping or reading or....still munching down on the christmas goodies!

So today we headed south, and over by Grand Narrows and Iona way....can't remember the places we drove by, but it was lovely. lots of sunshine and quite warm. Ended up at this stretch of beach as the sun was starting to sink, so we grabbed the opportunity to have a bit of a walk. it wasn't a very long beach, but still it was lovely to be out of the car and moving!

Then we headed backup towards Sydney, and after being stuck in a traffic jam for about 45 minutes....there had been an accident...we managed to do a bit of shopping! i got myself a nice new pair of Sorel boots, i love them...they are a bit on the expensive side, but my last pair held up for about 18 years...i reckon i could be buried in these boots! they are good to -40 degrees and are tall and waterproof. Just the ticket for those deep snow drifts we have around here! Terry treated himself to a laptop! he's been researching them for sometime...and this was a pretty good deal! I know what he'll be doing tomorrow! So it was pretty late when we got home and the dogs had been inside for sometime....they were extremely pleased to see us!
