The Woodsense course has a headline draw that you'll learn to be a decent tracker at the end of it (which is true) they also drill into you that, before you get to that stage, you need to start looking around and see what there is to be seen. Slow down, chill and take in the environment.

Here we are on day 2. Walking in the woods and we see a badger's foot print. Had I been on my own, I'd probably have walked over it. Certainly, I'd have missed it.
