Another day goes by

The day we dined with @RobbieSavage8

We were in Cardiff today shopping when we walked passed the restaurant where we met Robbie Savage.

It was a rugby international day where Wales were home to Ireland in the Six Nations. 6 of us met before the game to enjoy a few sherbets before going to the match. After we suffered another loss at the hands of the Irish it was time go and drown our sorrows. We were fortunate to be with the secretary of Caerphilly rugby club and an ex rugby league player who happened to know the owners of the bar where all the Welsh players drank after the match. So in we went to rub shoulders with all the boys like Martin Williams and Colin Charvis. More beer was drunk until we were giggling rather loudly. After copious amounts of beer it was food time and Giovannis is where we ended up.

The 6 of us sat ordered more beer and food when all of a sudden Robbie Savage and another man sat very close to us. We knew who he was but just got on with our evening. The topic of conversation was, if your parents are both Welsh but your child was born in England, is the child Welsh or English. Unknown to us Robbie was listen to both sides of the argument and asked if he could sit with us and join in the conversation. I recall that even though his son was going to be born in England he wanted his nationality to be Welsh. Well the debate rolled on and on. All we have to say what a great guy he is and what a memorable day that day was.
