Top 2011

In 2000, a radio station here in the Netherlands started with the Top 2000, a marathon broadcast of the 2000 'best songs ever' that were voted for on an online survey. They start broadcasting on Chrismas Day and go on until January 1 00.00, when the number 1 on the list is played. I believe more than half of Dutch radio listeners listens to it these six days :).
The top 5 hardly ever changes, with Bohemian Rhapsody almost always on 1 and Hotel California, Stairway to heaven and Child in time on the next positions.
I don't really agree with the whole list, to be honest :D. To begin with, the Beatles didn't come any further than place 24 -with Hey Jude, that is... As far as I'm considered the entire Revolver album could form the top 14 :P.
Pink Floyd are in the top 10, but they should be higher and with Comfortably Numb as well. Then there's Adele who disfigures the top 10, and Coldplay, who make good music, but not good enough to be in the top 10, certainly not with Viva la vida. Also, Gorillaz aren't listed a single time, they should be in at least the top 50.

I guess next year I should vote myself, instead of complaining about it :)
