Visitors

I went through to Edinburgh and met up with two friends "V" and her sister "V" (I always did like Thomas Pynchon).

We met at Cafe Laguna on George IV bridge. The much more popular Elephant House is just across the road but its very business makes it less attractive to me- you can't dawdle over coffee there without feeling guilty over the people desperate for a table.

Then we went to the newly-refurbished National Museum of Scotland. I enjoyed seeing the netsuke collection again. Among the dozens of figures there is even a hare with amber eyes!
