In memory of a dissenter

Frome has always been a hotbed of dissent: as well as Anglicans and Roman Catholics, the town's various congregations have included Irvingite Catholics (Catholic-Apostolic), the Rook Lane Independents, Zion Congregationalists, Quakers, Baptists, Methodists, Primitive Methodists and, more recently, Jehovah's Witnesses. There may be others.

There is also there is a Dissenters' Cemetery with Chapel at Vallis Road, which was founded in 1851 by Frome's 'Free Churches', mainly Baptist, Congregational and Methodist and has been the site of over 6,000 burials. This is one of the many memorials.

I've put a colour version in my blipfolio.
