Rivington - Great House Barn

Turned up for usual Saturday run at 8.30 this morning in rain and low cloud. Decided not to take the camera with me as conditions didn't look likely to improve and they didn't. Thought I'd better get a security blip of the Barn as it looked quite attractive before anyone arrived - certainly more welcoming than the hills, but there's Christmas fare to be run off so that wasn't an option. The Barn or Great House Barn to give its correct title is of Scandinavian design, and dates back to between 811 A.D. and 1300 A.D. with major renovation in 1702. The roof is spectacular with an internal oak framework which can be seen on the link below.
