Foto Journey

2011

The last day of 2011. So what? Tomorrow will be like any other day so why do people think it's a time for a new start, for resolutions? Why can't resolutions be made at any time of year? How many of these resolutions are kept? I spent years feeling pressured to go out and celebrate on New Year's Eve, but got so fed up going to restaurants with bad service and poor food, not being able to get into pubs unless you had a ticket or were female, avoiding drunks and piles of sick on the pavement. In the end I realised that the best way to spend today is at home with your family. As you can tell I am not a fan of today, especially when you look back on some of the bad events of the year.

With all that said I wish you all a Happy New Year. Not the most exciting Blip but despite the clouds and the grey the light still shines through. That must mean something.
