Stars at night

My first entry on the first day of a new year, I don't imagine I'll manage an entry everyday but we shall see.

At my mother's house outside Aberdeen there isn't much light pollution and on a clear night you can see a great display of stars. This is actually my first attempt at a starry sky and I didn't have my tripod to do it properly, but I think this cam out reasonably.

It will be interesting to compare this with shots I take later in the year, hopefully we will see an improvement.
