Happy New Year!

So today, the deer showed up before we left Corvallis. Finally!! A mama and two young ones showed up!! Yay...

So the last day in Corvallis we played more cards...the card game of choice is an old game that is called 500. Whoever gets to 500 points wins the game. This is a game that my step-mom's family has played for generations. I am not a whiz bang when it comes to playing cards, but it's fun now and then to give it a whirl. Since we were too lazy to get out the automatic shuffler machine, Bill ended up shuffling the cards for the rest of us, as we all have thumbs that don't like doing that anymore. He was a good sport about accommodating our weakness.

Then we packed up and headed for home, trying to beat the darkness. We made it home just in time. And he wanted to see the Portland Blazer's play B'ball, don't ya know!
