A Brand New Day

After some grey days, today is bright and clear. Ideally, this would have happened yesterday and been a nice uplifting metaphor for the new year.
It's Hannah's birthday today and in another not-quite-there metaphor, we rescued her Panda from being thrown into a large skip at the local tip.
