Chinese Coast Guard patrol boats in harbour

Chinese Coast Guard patrol boat in Shekou harbour Guangdong province. They patrol the waters between the mainland and Hong Kong.

The translation of the Chinese characters is 'sea police'. In fact, they come under armed police which is almost certainly where the officer featured in my blip 23 Dec 2011, an officer and a trim, is stationed. This is only a ten minute walk from the barber's shop.

According to Wikipedia: As part of an exchange programme, members of the Chinese Coast Guard service have been assigned to serve on U.S. Coast Guard cutters.
