Happy New Year

Retreated to Mam and Dad's today for dinner, steak and curly chips, and a dessert baked by my own fair hand - an apple crumble cake, which absolutely had to be served with cream!

After dinner, went down Castle Eden Dene with Mam and Tony to walk off a couple of the calories and work up an appetite for tea! The plants seem to be very confused, with new buds appearing and rhododendrons starting to flower, probably not for long though.

The picture is of my brother, Tony, scaling the scary bridge in the Dene without holding onto both handrails! Very Bear Grylls!
